Who knew there was a dark side to dark mode? Thanks for en-lightening us ;)

Hahaha right? Its dark side is really hiding in plain sight. And any time! Thank you for your de-light-ful pun 😆

I used Dark Mode initially thinking it would be easier on my eyes but then I used it more for app recognition. For example, Firefox is dark mode (personal) and Chrome is light mode (work). Photoshop, dark. INDD, light.

I hadn't heard the 'energy saving' point until now. Interesting!

Ohh the app recognition thing is so interesting! And so real! The Firefox/Chrome divide is so smart. Does it help your brain to not be in work mode?

I do still use a lot of Adobe in dark mode and that doesn't bug me.

There's also been studies I was just reading about how certain types of content are actually easier to understand in dark mode like charts and graphs. Something about the colors making it that way.

I think the dark vs light mode conversation is as divisive and nuanced as pineapple on pizza lol

I mean... it shouldn't be divisive. Pineapple OBV goes with pizza (esp with ham and bbq sauce) 😈 🍍 🍕
