Hey everyone! This week I wanted to invite you to a few things going on for the rest of this month. Would love to (virtually) meet you face to face if we haven’t!
Ecopreneur Community
The Ecopreneur Community offers 4 free events every month! The wonderful Davey from The Eco Helper and I have been hosting some version of these events for 3 years now. It’s been a blast getting to know everyone who’s stopped by - always a lovely group!
Each month we host these events:
Eco Biz Happy Hour (happened yesterday - but there will be more!): A low-key, no-pressure one-hour event to come chat about what’s going on in your biz, your life, if you’re struggling with anything, want some advice, want some company, really up to you! We’re all here to support one another and make the solo-biz owner (or partnership/other small biz) life a little less lonely!
Digital Cleanup (Wednesday 10/18 at 10am CDT): A one-hour event where we pick something in our cloud, email, computer, or phone to digitally clean up. Helps to keep us all organized and less stressed. You can accomplish so much in an hour and a one hour clean every month has been helping my business run so much more smoothly!
Book Club (Thursday 10/19 at 5pm CDT): This event is pretty new! We’ve only read two books together as a group so far, The Intersectional Environmentalist by Leah Thomas and Open Throat by Henry Hoke. We’re alternating between nonfiction and fiction to keep things educational but also a little lighter every once in awhile. This month we’re reading It's Not That Radical by Mikaela Loach. If you’d like to join us, we’ll be discussing roughly the first half of the book one week from today! And don’t feel like you need a literature degree to come, all are welcome!
Coworking (Wednesday 10/25 at 9am CDT): The longest event - but you don’t have to stay for all of it! This coworking session is 4 hours long and we use the Pomodoro method to stay productive, on track, and have a little fun in the breaks to chat about what we’re working on, our lives, or wherever else the conversation leads. Stop by for the full time or just for an hour - whatever works for you!
There’s also events hosted by the lovely Estelle of Estelle Hakner Copywriting that are in Australian-friendly time zones. So if the above times don’t work out for you, check those events out and say hi to Estelle!
Hope to see you at one of these!
If you sign up to our email list we promise not to spam you. You’ll get notifications each month about the upcoming events and then event reminders an hour before each event - that’s it!
No marketing spam or anything else will be sent to your inbox 😊
Make Your Website Greener Workshop
Hosted by Erika of Nadi Marketing, this workshop will be taking place through her community The Ecosystem.
I’ll be leading this workshop and covering what green web design is, some tips on how you can optimize your images for a lower website carbon footprint, and an intro into how to write good alt text for your images to make your site more accessible.
The ticket price to attend is $25 USD and the workshop will take place virtually on Friday, October 27 from 11am - 12pm CDT.
If you’re interested in dipping your toes into Green Web Design, I hope to see you there!
What’s going on in your world?
Do you have any events coming up you want to talk about? Reply to this or drop a comment down below! Maybe it’s just the event someone (or me!) has been looking for.
Thanks so much for venturing into the Blue Raspberry Patch with me! I love exploring all these sustainability and design topics in longer form and sharing little berries of info with you all. I’d be delighted if you’d join me here!
This is awesome thanks for the info; I've been looking for events like this for a while.
I love the book club, I've been meaning to read "the minimalist entrepreneur" for a while now but it's just been sitting on my dresser. The idea of a book club adding accountability and community around stuff like that is such a good idea. Remote work, even with all it's benefits, can be lonely 🥺
